When building custom applications, we always look at leveraging existing investments made by our clients. This includes investments in hardware and software, training and expertise of their staff, as well as standard business processes.
When a need is not unique, we will look at deploying proven products that are provided by us or other vendors. Whenever possible, we will reuse or integrate rather than create.
Most importantly, we make sure that our application is appropriate to the specific business need. This may mean creating an interim solution, a phased implementation, using simpler technologies or simply limiting functionality of the application. By following this approach, we ensure that a solution is not simply defined by assembling "user requirements". The requirements are always evaluated against the cost of delivery, our client's business requirements and their anticipated return on investment.
